Yesterday I was just a normal guy typing out an email with a few reflections and a couple of pictures. Today, I am an experienced blogger with a fantastic fan base. Well, let’s be honest… I am sending you these emails whether you want them or not. Perhaps that makes me less of a blogger and more of an email terrorist? You say poTATO, I say poTOTTO.

Today was the first official day of the 2016 CEDIA show. There was a great buzz on the show floor as dealers ventured out to learn about what’s new from their favorite brands, see new products, and new categories. Popular brands like

Greetings from Dallas!

Today I had the opportunity to get on the CEDIA show floor and take a walk around. The show doesn’t begin until tomorrow and most of the manufacturers spent the day hustling to get their booths ready to reveal to the world. Seeing the floor the day before the show is one of my favorite things about coming to CEDIA. As you pan around the exhibition hall you see brand after brand with booths that look like they’ve got a snowballs chance in hell of getting done before the end of the day. By some miracle (magical CEDIA elves, I’m sure) everyone gets dialed in and is ready to rock and roll before the doors open the next day.

Custom Plus Distributing is pleased to announce that we are now carrying the Weathertech brand. Weathertech is known for its 100% American Made products, including it's industry-standard laser-fit floor liners, cargo & trunk liners, all-weather floor mats, and more. As a dealer, it is important that you know the differences in product so that you can effectively sell it to your customer. Here is a YouTube playlist provided by Weathertech to help train you on the differences in product types. Once you are comfortable with selling the Weathertech brand to your customer, it is also important that you know how to place orders for Weathertech through Custom Plus.

How to place orders through Custom Plus:

We are recommending that all dealers use Weathertech's "Year, Make, Model" selector on their website to ensure proper filtering of products. Once you have your product picked out from the selector, place a call to your inside sales rep with the product numbers handy and they can place the order for the product for you. We are currently using this website to ensure accurate selection of products for your customer's car while we build our own "Year, Make, Model" selector.

If you have any questions, feel free to call your sales rep and they will do your best to assist you. Happy selling!

Hi-Fi+, a website that blogs about the latest in hi-fi gear, has bestowed a "Highly Recommended" recommendation on REL Acoustics T/9i.

Here is a direct quote: "You know what you're getting with REL; a fast, taut, and deep bass that manages to keep up with the speed of your loudspeakers. Unlike most subs, REL goes after the precision and subtlety in bass, rather than quantity and level. This is what makes the brand so attractive to audiophiles; rather than simply adding more bass, these subs simply add an underpinning of bass reinforcement, allowing the loudspeakers to act more openly and engagingly in the upper registers." - Alan Sircom
