BOOST creates a separate, dedicated wireless network for use by Sonos, so users can enjoy their music all over their home without interruption. By creating its own network, BOOST eliminates interference from other wireless devices on an existing WiFi network. BOOST has three internal antennas that broadcast in all directions, even through walls and ceilings. Plug it in. Connect it to the existing router using the Ethernet cable provided. Configure using the Sonos app. And done. BOOST is not necessary to set up a Sonos speaker, but it’s good to know it’s there.
